88 350tbi into 83 z28 w/83 wiring???
I am going to look at a 83 z28 that had a 350tbi from a truck installed. The owner said that all the wiring and etc are from the z28. My question is will this work and what should I look for as potential problem areas with this current setup? The car is an auto.
Thanks

If they put all of the Z28 stuff back- the carb, distributor, sensors, etc - then it will work fine, as far as working goes. All the 305 stuff will bolt right up onto the 350, as they are nearly identical externally.
The truck TBI motors are far from a "performance" choice though. While it will "work", that's near the bottom of the list of really good choices for a swap.

Thats what i was thinking but i was not sure thanks...I just spoke to the owner who said that it had the tbi on it....i'm going to take a look at it Sunday
I know that this is not a performance motor but from the pics the car is clean and fairly straight so it would be a good base project car for me. I just would prefer to have something that is driveable (reliable) until i can get the motor that I want in it.
