need help on running a good fuel system

How is everyone. I need help trying to run a fuel system for my 87 Iroc convertible I am swapping in a carb'd 400 sbc and don't really know which way is better to run a fuel system on it. It was originally a 305 computer controlled carb motor. trying to figure out if I should put a mechanical pump on it and leave the booster pump in the tank. Or get a carb'd fuel sending unit. Or run an inline electric pump and a regulator. I just need something reliable that I won't have to mess with (and also not cost an arm and a leg) being a dedicated Camaro owner I am used to the good ol TPI setups so this one is new for me. Could someone please help me. I really want to keep the return line just because it will be mainly a street car so I don't want problems of flooding. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds.

Fine, thank you.

I'd go with the in-tank electric pusher and stock return-style mechanical. It's already there for you. Some will say the in-tank is prone to failure. So? You replace it every 10 years, that's all.
