What sealants, and where to use them

I'm swapping out my 305TPI for a new ZZ4, I am transferring the needed parts from my 305, plus adding a new intake manifold, water pump, headers etc.
My question is this, is there an information page or application chart online somewhere that shows what types of sealants, teflon tape and thread lockers should be used for different applications on an engine?
I realize this may all be very straightforward to many of you but I have only taken apart the engines on a few of my old Beetles before, and that was a very long time ago.
Thanks for any help!
Also...would the torque specs be different for aluminum parts (heads etc.) versus cast iron?
