Help deciding on engine

I have a zz4 shortblock with vortec heads as the base for my engine. I'm taking it to the machine shop in the next couple weeks. My intention was to carb the car and get rid of the computer but I'm having second thoughts. The car now is a 305 tbi. I would like 400-450 hp when it's done. I don't have unlimited resourses to build this engine. But, is this reasonably possible to do and still retain the computer or a different computer. I guess I'm having second thoughts about ripping out all the wiring and wonder what will work and what won't. I like the thought of some type of fuel injection rather than a carb. Thanks.

I dont think your gonna make that type of power on a TBI set up. Id stick with the carb.

No tbi

I'm not keeping the tbi. I'm just wondering if there are other options such as stealth ram and others that are comparatively priced to carb and make that kind of power and still be computer controlled. Thanks

Not sure on prices of FI setups but i know a good intake and carb should be more than 600 bucks. *shrugs*

I think your best bet for what you want to do would be to go with the Holley Stealth Ram for vortec heads that is do to come out this month!!!! There is a post about it in the TPI message Board, and they say if any TGO guys order this manifold within this Month that they get a discount!!!

Check it out

The whole deal

I'm supposing that I would have to buy the whole kit since I'm running tbi now. So it looks like it will be a carb for me.
