Well, its finally happening......
heres what i started out with

355 SBC w/ 20k on it
Also bought a 700R4 w/ 2k on it, transgo shift kit + 'vette servo
Pics of that as well as the new engine after being painted soon.

Well, after preparing for a few days (probably bout 45 minutes a day after work/before homework), finally had a half day of school today and was able to get down to the dirty work.....

...And the pics arent working right, woohoo!

The old engines new home ^^^
Wait....wheres the engine.....oh well, looks like i'l have to push it.....Flintstones style

Yeah, uhh....my parents arent gonna be happy when they see this.....hmm....

Soo....anyone know how to get stains from oil, antifreeze, and transmission fluid off of concrete floors? haha

I was actually surprised at how quick things went once everything was disconnected.....took less than half an hour to actually get the engine out, and thats 3 newbies who've never done an engine swap before :-D
The new engine is hopefully going in this Saturday, I'll be sure to post pics of that

holy crap!!!!!! what's keeping that front chain hook in place

cleaning stains like that,...... go to Lowes/Home Depot, not looking for a new intake, and look for driveway cleaner, a heavy duty scrub brush, broom handle, chemical gloves. The cleaner will "bleach/chemical clean" teh stains away, and most likely make the rest of teh area look dirty by comparison.

well the whole garage is brand new, they still havnt completly finished, so the rest of the floor is literally just coverd in dust, so if i can get rid of the stains completly it will make my parents very happy, haha
