2.8L V6 to 305 gas?
I am planning on swapping my 2.8l V6 to a 305 in the next year but I was just wondering how much more of a gas hog the 305 is compared to what I have right now?

depends on your right foot, and is also debatable, as you have more power to move the car & not needing as much power to move the car as the six does. might just even out.
That's the first time I've heard of someone prefering a 305 to a 350. Any reason?
Given all the work that's involved, you are better off selling what you have and buying a V8.
Prior poster is correct. There is at least one major "if."

The 305 is a bit less fuel hungry, as was it's original intent. But it's not so good for all out power.
Most v8 daily drivers here in Norway are 305's, 350's just use too much gas to be able to use them, especially with carbs. Gas is alot more here though.
