Need An Engine And Have ???
Hey all,
My 92's 305 V8 finally died on me and now I am looking for a new engine....
I have a line on an engine here in AZ but I was told that it is in a caprice....
Does anyone know if the caprice engine will fit in the 92 camaro?
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Also if you are local and have a complete 305 engine for sale please let me know
Thanks

Cliff notes:
Find out what motor it is. Late model Caprice cars had 4 engine options.
350 TBI (LO5)
305 TBI (LO3)
4.3 LT1 (L99)
5.7 LT1 (???)
The 5.7 LT1 has the most power stock and has the most potential but comes at the cost of doing a Gen II motor swap.
The 5.7 TBI can make solid power and can be virtually a direct swap into your curent car (no wiring changes or anything).
If you have a low budget and a small wallet I would go with the 350 TBI route. You could nab the TBI unit, motor and chip, add a new fuel pump and be on your way to a solid 220hp in stock trim. Add another $500 or so and you can add 50+hp with a heads and cam swap.
