wassup f body freaks, i pulled the 350 tp out of an 87 formula firebird i was expecting to drop it right on the camaro after i removed the engine compartment harness, thinking i could plug the bulkhead from the formula into the camaro. im thinking i need to change the under dash harness..........or am i dreaming???? does anybody know if the formula bulkhead and iroc are the same? do i have to tear into the dash, besides the tachometer? I can't say with any certainty, personally. You should have gotten everything up to the ECM from the '87, including the harness between the ECM and bulkhead. However, with the instrument cluster differences between 'Birds & Camaros, I don't know whether you'll have compatibility issues. Certainly you should try to get a V8 tach for a Camaro of your year/style. I'm not familiar enough with the digital instrumentation of the 'Birds to say what issues may come up.
