does anyone know of a site with pictures or info on this engine swap. or possibly know of somebody who has done this with success??

There was some mention in the JTR book on swapping TPI engines, but not sure if it was specific to that model. You could probably find more info on a Jeep forum, though. The book will still probably be of help to you, though; you can get it through Summit.

 

i remember a friend of mine saying he has that book, but also remember him saying it wasnt to informative

 

On specifics for a particular swap, no...but it goes over a lot of the details not adressed in other books, and presents information not available in any other book that I have seen. Its not a step by step how to by any means, though.

 

Try Jp magazine, they have articles all the time with this stuff. Funny thing is I was thinking about putting the old 305 into my Jeep XJ when I replace the Trans Am's engine hehe!
