ok guys after i shoehorned the tranny and stroker in i was having trouble keeping the car cool when on the highway to some of you this may not a big thing and already know this but for me it was a pain because i could not figure out why it kept heating up well it turned out all the air dam system in the front of my car was missing and this being my first third gen i didnt know it every plastic piece can be gotten from the dealer ship ask the parts guys for a blow out of the front end the 6 and 8 cylinders fans and radiators are the same so you wont have to change them but all that plastic is important to keeping the car cool the air deflector the air baffle the scoops all of it on the 6 it wont heat up but as soon as that 8 gets in there it sure as heck will so if your thinking of cutting that stuff out like the kid that owned the car before me did and then putting a v8 in its going to heat up on the fly some parts you can get from the boneyard like the air damn itself if your lucky i searched 20 cars almost gave up and called the dealership to order this part wich by the way is 67.00 but then i found 1 car byitself with all the parts intact so for 30 bucks i got the dam and the scoops the deflectors get tore up on curbs and such but they are about 27.00 bucks new and the part that goes from your grille back to the radiator near your hood latch is 18.00 bucks and the air baffle (wich also gets beat up) is 40.00 bucks new but i hope this helps some one who may be having this problem because the only way i found out was chevy hiperformance had an article on cooling systems and they metioned the air baffle being a huge cooling problem for the 82-92 gen so that started me in the right direction and really helped me out if you have any questions on any swap out from v6-v8 let me know and i will do my best to answer it and tell you what i did
