v6 to v8 hooking up air conditioning

I'm swapping an lg4 305 into my 83 firebird and have some questions on hooking up the air conditioning. The donor car dosen't have air conditioning so I have no idea where the compressor mounts to on the engine. Do I need all new pulley's for the belt or will the v6 ones fit? What should I change in the proccess? The system hasn't been filled for almost 10 years and I really want to get it working. Any pics of what the stock setup looks like would be very helpful. Also I know I need a v-belt compressor but is there any other differences between the parts from 82-92 or will the all fit my car? Thanks!

V-belts until 1986, serpentine started in 1988. '86 & '87 were a mix, with a flat multi-groove belt for the alternator that also ran around the crank & water pump pulleys.

I've never seen a 3rd gen without AC. Are there any unused grooves on the LG4?

Here's what mine looked like. Can't see it all, but the general idea is there.

looks like I need power steering brackets too. Is your power steering on the same belt as the a/c ? Here's what mine looks like.

I also have another question I forgot to ask. The fan shroud on the donor car just has a small top peice and the fan only has 3 blades. can i use the 5 blade fan from the v6 and will I be ok with that small fan shroud (which is really just a hand gaurd)

The PS has its own belt, and only goes to the crank pulley.

See if you can find an '86 or '87 setup. It will also have an electric fan (you'd have to do a little wiring for that, but it isn't hard). LG4 or LB9 are the same.
