starts and stalls after TPI swap

I just finished swaping a 350 TPI motor from an 88 bird, into a 89 TBI 305, the motor ran in the car it was in before. However, now it starts, runs for about five seconds, then stalls. I swaped the wiring and ECM but didn't switch any fuel stuff. I know that TPI's operate around 40 PSI and TBI's run 15PSI, but it seems strange to me that that would make it stall. Any advice or insight is appriciated. Thanks.

You need the pressure.

I know from experience the difference in engine behavior at 30psi versus specified 45psi is significant...get a TPI pump in there.

the pump doesnt control the pressure.. the regulator on the rail will a tbi pump is probably not ideal but it should work, try a fuel gauge to see what you get on the rail

did you swap in tpi fuel lines as well?

how does it run before it dies?

The regulator on the rail doesn't create volume, the pump in the tank does.
