305 to 406 swap but car won't start

I have an 85 iroc that has been sitting for about 5 years. the car ran when I pulled the 305 out but it will not start now with the 406. It's tpi and I put 32 lbs injectors and a adjustible fuel preasure regulator in. The fuel pump and relay went bad over the time it was sitting. But now I have fuel preasure and I have spark but it won't start, it won't even fire on starting fluid. PLEASE HELP!

timing is right, has good compression, not sure about the injectors pulsing. but they do have power.

if it wont start on starting fluid you are looking in the wrong place. It has to be ignition related. Make sure that your coil wires are hooked up properly, and that you are getting 12volts to the coil, and that the coil is firing, next go the cap, make sure the rotor button is properly installed, and pull a wire off the cap to see if you are getting spark off there. If not, you could have a bad pickup coil in the distributer or control module. If you have a nerd test light, check to see if you are getting a injector pulse, if not, it's a good bet it's the pick up coil. Hope this helps.

thanks I will try the pickup coil, because the injectors are not pulseing and the spark off the plugs are a little weak. I will let you know what happens.

thanks agian Bill

seems like, 9 times outta 10, even when you think the timing is right, it's not.
