getting my 95 pcm to talk to me
How did all you lt1 swappers get your pcm to communicate with a scanner. Is it easier to install a 16pin camaro adld connector or hook the serial data and enable wire to my stock 92 adld connector? i tried to run my serial to my M spot on my adld and grounded the enable but the scanner said no communication. Also What wire from my pcm is gonna go to my check engine light? i couildnt find it in the pinouts.

I ran the OBDII connector on mine, hooked up two grounds, think it's pins 4 and 5, 9 for serial and 16 for power. To make the software work properly, it's best to get a cable from akmcables or just the serial adapter for it. I've run tunercat, datamaster TTS, and freescan with no problems. The SES light comes off of pin B (the brown/white wire) on the C230 connector, which is the white one if I remember correctly.

Ok the service engine light problem is that my harness is already in the car and hooked up. I thought it was wired correctly but its not lighting up.
Were can i find information on how to make a aldl cable to be compatable with the lt1 obd1 pcm? Ive been confused by the different types 233 232 max's and some other models so i dont know wich one to make. Is there diagrams on here i havent found after hours of searching aldl topics.. were can i get a free copy of a diagnostic software tool? I just need to pull codes.
Thanks

I tied both of my grounds to the dash harness ground, that's all it is. The SES light comes from the brown/white wire on the white connector on the LT1 harness, you will either need to run it over to the old C207 connector on the passenger side of the car and tie it into the.....brown wire if I remember or find which wire it goes to and splice it in there, it may be different on the'92 model, the way I found out was got a wiring diagram of the dash pins where the cluster goes, found the SES light and just started checking continuity on the wires until I found the right one.
AKMCables
This is where I bought the stuff to make my serial connector with, he sells just the serial adapter, or the entire cable assembly which will work with either the old style OBDI connector, or he has the cable to work with the OBDII style connector. I went with the OBDII because I had a cable with the OBDII end already on it. He has some links on his site for the tuning software also, and the code readers.
