i know i might get flamed,but i have the 305 5 speed, i can get a built 350 but it'll be a older block from my teacher for cheap,i wanna swap the lt1 top end on it,but not sure if they could work. will older 350 blocks still bolt to the 5speed?

You can use the lt1 topend (heads and intake) but they require modification because the lt1's coolant flow is reversed. If you search there are a couple of threads where people have done this.

The T5 will fit a 350.
