install engine with headers on?

Can I drop in my new engine / tranny with the headers already mounted?

Depends on the headers. I didn't have any problems doing so with the 2055's.

i did it with hooker 2460 shortie headers with an LT1 engine. The pass side header hit the a/c box though. Didn't damage it too bad. Just be careful. I dont know if you could do it with longtube headers.

I installed my LT1 with SLP 1-3/4" shorties. I had to unbolt the heater core hard line from the frame and move it back. I also didn't have the stearing shaft or box in the car not sure if that makes any difference.

I've always put mine in with the headers on. Granted I use a forklift....
