If you don't get the engines component packages, can you just use the stuff your old engine had? If you had something like an LG4?What things would have to be replaced? (Transmission, etc)

 

Since you are relatively new, you need to familiarize yourself with the search function. This particular issue comes up regularly and has been discussed thoroughly. Do a search for posts by JamesC. While he didn't swap in that particular engine, his info will be helpful.

I didn't notice anything about your vehicle, such as the transmission, but I'll take a stab in the dark and say with that particular engine your trans will probably be fine. That engine doesn't put out a lot of horses.

 

Like said above do the search... But anyways, dont get the one from Jegs. There are cheaper ones in the range of 1200.00 and sometimes you catch a "sale". I have seen one for 950.00 from the dealer and I didnt jump on it (stupid me).
