305 to 383

I have a 1986 Trans Am with a 305 TPI. I want to drop in a 383 stroker and keep the TPI. I want to keep it a street car with high performance. What all can I reuse from my 305 to put on my 383 stroker? Any suggestions on what cam, intake, heads, exc... to use?

Welcome aboard.

Let's see, what can you keep from a 305 TPI for a 383 TPI? I'd say wiring harness, fuel rails, throttle cables, engine mount clam shells.

Unless emmisions require it, I would ditch the TPI. If emmissions do require it, I would look for a performance replacement that meets standards. TPI isnt performance based, period.
