torque converter seized engine
I really hate making a bunch of threads, I'm sorry moderators, please dont hate me too much :\
Im pulling the engine out of my camaro. Everything is going smooth except for this one stupid problem:
My engine is seized, and I cant undo the bolts from the flywheel that hold it to the torque converter.
I'm curious as to how hard it will be to take a sawzall to the crank inbetween the block and the flywheel. I dont need the engine, the engine is dead.
I know you guys will tell me just to pull the transmission out at the same time but I dont have the room in my garage for that *nor the knowledge of removing a transmission*.
I was going through google and I found this one website where this guy had the same problem with a ford bronco.
What he did was jack the trans up some bit, and started to pull the engine out without even disconnecting the torque converter. How likely is it to break the input shaft on my trans if I go that route? I CANT break the trans, otherwise I wont have a car :\
I have a thread in the general engine tech part of the forum that basically turned into this question, so I figured I would ask here, figuring I would get more response.

I had that problem with the 2.8 that was in my camaro. I just droped the transmission by sliding it off the torque converter. You could just do this and leave it under the car till you get a new motor, and hood it up to the motor when you go to put it in.

More of a Tech question than Engine Swap question.
And answered adequately over there.
