3.1L to 350 help
I have a 91 firebird with a 3.1L. I have rebuilt a 350 and I'm ready to yank the 3.1L out and make the swap. I've got new springs, sway bars, and brakes to support the new engine. I've got a few questions though. Are there any OD transmissions for a 350 that will bolt up to the factory V6 K member? Will I have to reposition the new V8 motor mounts or will the 350 fit into the V6 location on the new mounts? And do you think that the factory rear end will suffice for now or should I swap it out with the engine...Let me know what you think. And if anyone has made this kind of swap before let me know what to expect, this is my first V6 to V8 swap.
