hows this 383 look?

Ok here is what I've come up with.

world products 350 block with splayed mains
stroker forged internals
hyd roller cam 226/230 112 lsa
1.5 rr
edelbrock victor jr heads 64cc
hsr intake
32lb hour injectors
Thanks to all for all the help so far.

It looks economically unbalanced....

Too much money in the block casting (WAY overkill, comparing $$$$ to need)

Not enough cam duration

Not enough rocker, or not enough cam lift

Too much head for the intake system. Compare the cross-sectional area at the top of the intake runner, i.e. the limiting "choke" point of the system, to the head port.... I think you'll see that you will in effect be building 8 large plenums behind 8 little orifices.

Other than that, looks great. I wish I was the one selling you parts.

well I already have the block. Got it for a pretty good deal actually and saves me all the maching costs of an old block.

What are your suggestions for change then?

More cam.... 5-10 degrees more duration; make sure the lift is as much as you can get, after accounting for the rockers, up to the point where whatever heads you get stop flowing more

What's your head budget?

What CID is this motor going to be?

yea i agree i would go with a bigger cam(duration and lift), looks like you have a nice street/strip motor with a street cam in it.

I take it that the world products block you got is already machined for the 383 clearances? if not you will still need to have it machined... otherwise looks like you are going in the right direction and sounds like a good build.

According to the specs on the world products page all their blocks are clearenced for stroker engines. The only thing that seems to need machining is the bore which comes from the factory at 3.990. Really hope I can have this all together by mid june...

for comparison sake on the cam, im going to be sticking a 230/244 .544/.576 112LSA (the cc306 with 1.6 rockers) into my 350 bottom end with a set of ported trick flow heads. the intake will be a converted lt1 intake. i think a much larger cam will work better along with some better heads. during my head research i read in several places on here that the eldelbrock heads are decent heads but dont have much room for growing. meaning you cant really port them later on. trick flow and afr kept coming up. i decided on trick flow as afr always has a wait time for their heads.
