Okay here is the problem. I know I have a 350 from 87-92, but I do not know for sure what year it is. The background is that I bought the engine as a complete replacement for an 85 with a seized 305. I found out early on that the wiring harness and computer were not going to work with the 350. I did not however, know that the real issue was going to lie in the fact that the wiring harness for the 350 was not entirely completely, and low and behold the box with "ALL" of the accessories which was so conviently packaged also failed to have an ECM in it. The box also did not have an MAF so I guess it is possible that it is a 90-92, but I doubt it. How do I check to determine the actual year of the engine so that I can get the ECM or other parts that I may need?

rear of block driver side top casting numbers.
look them up at mortech.com or chevy-camaro.com.
they will tell you everything.

 

OK thanks. I figured out the drivers side casting number on the side was for the 350 but I wasn't sure where else to look for the rest of it.
