Which motor mounts, the frame mounts go on the furthest holes forward and the clamshells will be in the furthest forward holes on the block.

im assumeing the "clam shells" are the ones on the crossmember that the mounts on the block bolt onto if this is the case i need pictures of the mounting location for the clamshells. the brackets on the block only mount one way

Clamshells are the ones on the block, the rubber ones are the ones on the crossmember. There are two sets of holes, one set behind the brake lines, one in front. The go in the furthest forward holes.

The brake line goes over the crossmember holes you aren't using. Therefore, the V6 set-up will put the brake line right where you need to put the V8 mounts. So, you need to move the brake line to get it out of the way of the chassis-side mounts.

I thought I discussed this in the V6 to V8 sticky.

Did anyone mention to you that in California, an '88 car will have to have an electronic fuel injection system in order to be emissions-legal?
