I read the sticky! question about v6 to v8 conversion.

I saw in the sticky about swaping in a v8 into a v6. I know all bout the tranny mounts. but what motor mounts do i need. id like to do a polyurethane mount for shure. im buying a 91 rs v6 car friday. and im looking into putting in my s10s. 9 sec spray motor. and a 9" rear. but ive never swaped one before. thanks guys.

You will need thirdgen block mounts but you can use any sbc frame mounts.

where can i get those at. outside of a used camaro? does jegs or summit sell them

You can get OE engine mounts from a Chevrolet dealer. Try a lower cost mail order dealer like Sallee Chevrolet - (Chevrolet Dealer, GM Performance Parts, Aftermarket Performance Parts, Speed Shop) However, for your purposes you are probably better off with solid motor mounts like those sold by Moroso.

If I can ask a question... it seems very odd you have a 9 second drag car and no clue about motor mounts. Things break all the time at that level. Do you have any experience with the nuts and bolts of a car?
