I was planing to buy a brand new ZZ4 ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...496769&FROM=MG ) for my 82TA. Its around $4.8K with a good carb. I was thinking about some other options to get the best bang for the buck. Can you recomend any reliable machine shop that can build a new custom motor at the same price range. The trick is that I cant send an engine back if somethings wrong with it. I live in Poland and it would be quite expensive. So the engine must be 100% tested on a real dyno. That is also why Im a bit afraid of buying one from ebay. You never know what you can get in the box. Those are hard earned $$ guys and I dont want them to go down the drain when the engine blow up or something.

Having spent 3 years in Germany, I can partially appreciate your situation.

You probably have found some excellent choices there. There are a lot of builders here in the US, the main issue is the overseas shipment. The only better "bang-for-buck" choice I can think of is the 350 HO.

 

the problem is i dont know any engine shops - thats why im asking on the board for some info. I bet you guys can recommend a few of them.
