Anyone done an LS2 Swap?
I'm currently in the advanced planning stages of a 07 GTO project for my roomate, he will be buying a new GTO as soon as the 07's come out. I have already contacted a motor shop about building a boost friendly LS2 with a strengthened block, Forged rotating assembly, 8.1:1 CR, and much more to prep for a TT setup. It will be a direct swap, and we will have a spare LS2, so I asked him if there were any plans for it. When he said no I suggested picking up an 88-89 TA and dropping it in as a 3rd car for either of us. He was intrested in finding out about such a swap. Has it been done. I've already done a complete custum swap of an Implalla SS drivetrain into a 66 GTO, engine, CPU, brakes, ABS everything and really don't want that level of a project again, it took 6 years. I'm looking for a kit with headers, engine mounts, and the like. Does any such kit exist?

Take a look at ls1tech.com
They have plenty of information on subjects such as that. You may even find some on here if you look hard enough. I did the LS1 swap and I don't know how different they are, but it was somewhat of a challenge (1 year on and off). It costs a little bit but it would definently be an awsome ride. Good luck bro!!!

there is no 07 GTO so you'll be waiting a long time (iit will be back in 08 totally redesigned)
