350 1987 TPI setup going into a 1986 T/A 305

1987 TPI setup going into a 1986 CARB T/A

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK.... I've searched the forum from one side to the other and after encountering a dozen or so bad links, have decided to post this question which I PRAY someone on here can answer. I have a 1986 T/A that was my first real car.
The car came with a 305 Carb engine, which I have replaced with a 350. I decided to go with TPI. I have installed the TPI system and the harness, which was all chopped to pieces. I am sure that the connections for the engine harness are all good with the exception of this problem. I was unaware of the under dash harness being pinned differently between 1987 and 1986. Is it possible to rewire the under dash connections to match the 1987 setup? If so, does anyone have a pinout of the under dash connections for 86 & 87? I know I will have to supply power for the injectors and fuel pump, which is a separate plug. However, the under dash connection is driving me crazy. Also, if a pinout change will not work, what would be a recomended approach?

Any help would be rewarded with the gratitude of one who is trying to bring his car back to life.....

I would try to find a '87 TPI underdash harness, and then it would be fairly easy to plug in your door and rear body harness. But you could always go to a GM dealer and pay the service guy for lots of pages of pinouts, or go buy 1986 Firebird and 1987 Camaro/Firebird (depending on what you pulled your wiring out of) Helm service manuals (used by GM) for the gobs of wiring diagrams.

Thanks, I was hoping someone here might have a copy of the pinout or had underwent the same process and could give me a little insight.
