UPGRADE OR REBUILD?

ok i have a 5.0 v8 305 Carb engine in my Pontiac Trans Am and i think its time for a rebuild or new engine but i would like some advice, first of all i live in the UK and driving a American car on our side is scary at first but fun when everyone looks not a common car here. The car has enough power for me not a spped demon or anythin basicly cruse around and the engine sounds sweet (scare kids and boy racers).

So rebuild or new engine if so how much would i be looking at i know prices will be different but a ball figure would be great and any ideas were to buy parts or new engine would be great.

If you're doing the work yourself, consider a drop-in swap. If you're experienced, adventurous, or blessed in the wallet, you could try to rebuild,
using pieces from a junkyard, from hawks or summit, or any local source.
You may prefer to have a shop do it. They'll have the lifts and equipment to prtect your investment right.
