Roll Cage
Roll Cage
I have a v6 and I'm swaping to an 8. (I have access to an origional 327
) My intensions for this car is for shows and from time to time racing the ever so popular rice(every other weekend or so). I would love to be able to keep my back seats to cram my friends in there, but would I have to put a cage in to avoid twisting the frame? ..also if things dont go to plan with the 327 I'm more than likely to get a ZZ4.
New to posting, just thought I would get that out there

You should have sub frame connectors installed long before you'll need a roll bar/cage.

Unless you are pushing a bunch of power subframe connectors will be plenty to keep the chassis from twisting. Make sure you get a good set like Spohn or Hothckis(sp) and weld them in.

you need a 5 point roll bar if you go quicker than 11.49 in the 1/4. i gaurantee that neither the 327 nor the zz4 is gonna get you anywhere near that. put some subframe connectors in it and be done with it.
though i have to admit, seeing people ride around in the back of a thirdgen just screams red neck. i barely let one person ride in my car let alone three. i like the backseat back there cause it makes the interior look complete, but people don't sit back there...
