About 90 pounds lighter I think. That seems to be in my memory. Though I am probably off.

A gen 1 iron block is listed at 181 lbs. A gen 1 aluminum block is listed at ~90 lbs. I thought a LS1 was a little heavier, but in the same ballpark.

when i recieved my ls1 block, it was listed as 120lbs including the box and all the shipping material in it. only thing on the block is the crank sensor, no crank or internals.
