ok i bought my sport coupe with the v-6 engine out and the 350 installed already so i didnt think anything of it, until my friend came over and went on NADA.com and looked up my VIN number just for fun (this gets weird) it says that my car had a 2.8 V-6 Dual Overhead Cam motor and i did some research and i havent heard of a DOHV camaro before, so i found this site and joined immediatly and i have been on for like 1 hour now and almost got all of my questions answered so i should have a stab at this one

 

Standard 2.8 OHV carb engine is what came in these cars originally. No such beast as a DOHV (Dual overhead valve) and GM never made a 2.8 DOHC engine.

 

that's not true, they have a 2.8 dohc in the saab 9-3, and one in the CTS
