Gen. 3 auto V6 swapped to Gen. 4 manual V6
Gen. 3 auto V6 swapped to Gen. 4 manual V6
This sounds kinda stupid that I wanna swap a V6 for a V6 but I want the manual tranny and this engine thats from the gen 4 is worked and runs a 13.75 without nitrous and naturally aspirated.
I think the gen 4 is a 95 but im not sure. Its my friends so he'll give me a deal. The car im putting it in is a 91 RS with the 140hp V6 and auto tranny, (my friends 05 sentra 1.8s se has 172 to the wheels, sad, deffinatly).
Now here's what I want to know, would this be a direct bolt up? (same chassis im thinking?) How hard would it be, theres the same amount of cyliders does that mean I can use the same wiring harness? I also want the manual tranny, would that mean a different console?
Has anybody ever done this before? Would anybody be able to tell me what else i would need to do. Also, since this engine is very powerful would I have to do a brake upgrade? Thanks for all your help. Anything I left out or that I should change please feel free to let me know. Once again thanks for all your help.
Also, does anybody know what the difference in the engines are and what stock hp and torque they made?

It has been done before. Search this forum for "3800", I believe.
The 3rd gen V6 and the 4th gen V6 share two things - A "vee" configuration, and 6 cylinders. Nothing else is the same, including the angle of the "vee".
