350 2bolt main
aite so i got a 350 out of a 75 stingray that needs a little tlc. one of the first questions i have is how many cubic inches would the 350 after boring it out 30 over 40 over and 50 over. i also have the opportunity to get a 4 bolt main but its just the block and its seen better days. does anyone no if i send it out to a machine shop is there a way to clean up the gernals for the push rods? thanx all

The machine shop will answer all your questions and tell you what they recommend. If you don't trust one then get quotes from two or three shops. Honestly, there's just no way to tell the extent of work that is needing done until the engine is disassembled.
I would not recommend boring the cylinders beyond 0.030 inch. A high percentage of engine blocks will still have enough material left after a 0.030 inch. The success rate drops significantly at 0.040 inch. There are no guarantees. You could end up losing the engine block and starting all over.
