OK, my car is a 305 TBI (L03), T5, and stock rear. The 305 is highly disappointing and im NOT, repeat NOT wasting money on a Piece of crap 305....they arent worth their weight as a boat anchor...

Now, what is a CHEAP motor from the factory I can yank and drop in the car for highly efficient gains???

I was seriously considering a 350 from a 90's pickup....perhaps a Vortec???

So what all do I need to change to keep a 350 Vortec as a EFI caR??? Im not looking for a 12 seoncd 1/4 car....we only have 1/8th and a all motor low 9's car would more than happily suffice me. I have a Mustang I run as my true track car.

I thought about going carb but I know how I am....thousands of dollars later and a 383 with nasty cam and worked heads would be in there with my Stang still needing its ifnishing touches LOL.

So whats the deal on these 350 Vortec motors??? what year trucks are they in? how to identify? any known problems? do i have to swap computers? swap Throttle Body's? any wiring that will be needed to be changed?

whats your goal with the camaro if you race the mustang? if you just want to get into the 9's put NOS on the 305(you can use it on a 350 after you blow it up). if you just want a cruiser the 305 should be fine for that as well. now you wouldnt want to be street racing would you?
