I have a 94 pontiac firebird witha 3.8 and i was wanting to put an older model blazer 350 in it. i was wondering if any one could tell me what all i would have to do to the car. i already have the engine and i was wondering if the transmision would bolt up and what would i have to do with the computer. would i be able to keep the air conditioning and what would i have to do for that.
any information you have would be apreciated. thank you

Before you get slammed for posting a 4th Gen question, here is what little I know. Your older 350 is not going to have the mounting bosses on the block for the F-body engine brackets. The carb or throttle body is going to be interfering with the cowl (base of the windshield) requiring liberal use of a sawsall. The AC lines going to the compressor will be wrong after you figure out how to mount it on the V8. I don't think a 3.8L trans will bolt to a V8 block. Your computer is needed for the transmission, but won't directly interface with any fuel injection/ignition system that fits the motor. The gauge cluster is run by the computer as well so they aren't going to work.
Your 94 3.8L V6 probably has a higher peak hp rating than any pre-Vortec truck motor. Thats a very complicated swap. The car was designed to fit the very low LT1 intake.
