'92 rs opinions please
I am in the process of purchasing a 92 RS v6 5spd from a friend of mine. The car when finished will have a reconstructed title due to a "light" hit in the rear. But, the car is in otherwise great "unmolested shape". Also the interior is sweet and there is no rust. Now that the bad is out of the way, I have been researching v8 swaps and it looks like the performance I want is gonna cost way to much for me to use a fuel injected motor so I am contemplating going with the good 'ol SBC. I would just like some of your knowledgeable opinions on how to go about it or maybe you can steer me in a better direction. Keep in mind that money will be a major factor. I'll add pics of her in her current "wrecked state".

ok so much for the pics. I don't know how to post them

The RS options V-6 really slow V-8 almost as slow as the V-6 looks like it will take some work on that one. But if you have the time and money you can make it look really nice.I;v seen ALOT worse than this one come to life and turned out 100% better than I would have ever thought. GOOD LUCK!
not to worry about looks
I'm not worried about the look. when it is done probably 2 months or so she will have a nice new all over paint job with heritage stripes.
The guy I am getting it from is very particular about his work, so it will look great.

I bought a 91' RS with a 305 TBI and I knew that the motor was bad, but once you get started on it, it turns out to be a lot more than you thought. I am definetly going performance so mine will be a lot more than average, but I found myself spending a lot on carpet, radio, a bunch of little stuff on the interior. I bought it a year ago this month and still haven't got it running, of course you have the advantage of it running obvioulsy. My point is it ends up being a lot more than you would think.
