305 TBI to goodwrench 350 questions
Hi,
I have a 91 RS with the tbi 305 in it with a little over 250,000 miles on the original motor. Unfortunutly I live in an area where I have to remein emissions compliant so I need to stick with the stock injection system. Looking at summit and a couple of other places I noticed that the New goodwrench 260 hp 350's are cheaper than a new/ rebuilt 305 and am curious if there is any reason the stock injection set up wouldn't bolt onto this motor and run OK. I figure probly nothing terribly exciting preformance wise from this but it has to be better than the stock 170 hp from the original motor.
Has anyone attempted to do this or has any advice. iIappreciate it
Thanks

Did it with my bro's LO3 Firebird. Main thing is check the stickies in TBI forum. 305 to 350 swap covered there. Different injectors, knock sensor, just switch over your smog equipment I'm sure it should bolt right up. I took mine off but i'm fairly confident. Hopefully someone will chime in that has kept smog equipment but i'm doubtful. And you will need a computer re-tune. Check out COME IN FOR A FREE TUNE sticky in TBI forum. Its not tough and you would be amazed with the power output from the stock TBI unit. It's insane.
