Hers the situation. Over christmas i'm gonna visit my friend in AZ and bring him an engine i found in a junkyard by me for $200 and we're gonna swap out his v6 in his black 92 rs. The engine is from a 91/92 caprice taxi that had 366k on it but when i pulled the engine apart i found that it was almost new inside so it must have been replaced(no taper or ridge what so ever and no wear on the side of the piston of bearings). Can i get away with putting in a rering kit from summit and a 268XFI or 280XFI roller cam and just change out the valve springs/rockers? Its gonna be carbed for now but we plan to upgrade to EFI later. I have a 3 port fuel regulator so that wont be a problem but what do i need to mount the alternator and powersteering? the sticky said the wiring is different and the brackets are different but will it still not fit even if i'm going carbed for now? ca i get just some generic SBC ALT/PS mounting brackets? Are there TES Headers made to go from v8 to v6 pipes
