ok i bought this 89 iroc and it's a factory 5.0 5-speed but the guy said that the motor was switched out for a vette 350 tpi and im wondering how i could find out if this was true or if the guy was throwin the please let me know who to find out the motor is what it's suppose to be or just another z-car. i know it's got stuff done to it. the car feels like a 350 as i've had a 305 car before and this doesn't feel like a 305. where are the numbers to find out the motor? please help!!!

 

I think most of the vetts with TPI had alum. heads.

 

Check the casting numbers on the block behind he distributer. A pain to get to, but the best way to tell. I had to do this on my car. Had the sam situation going.

 

so the number is behind the distributor on the top or the back of the block?
