tbi intake on an lB9 block

tbi intake on an lB9 block

will a tbi intake work well with a 305 tpi block/heads??? this is going together temporarly until i get something better..

edit:says l98 up top. its not, its a 305...

Yes, it will work just fine. Not a bad move, actually, as long as you're sticking with a 305 anyway.

thanks! i spun a bearing in my old lo3, so i pulled it out, now im without my vert, but yesterday a really helpful guy gave me an lb9 block/heads/internals. I'd rather not have to go through the tuning and all of putting in a tune port for it. So i figured ill keep the tbi and just drill the holes to convert it over since its an 86 block.

Axle/Gears: 14 bolt with 3.07 gears
Be warned though, on the stock chip it will probably run like crap. Bump the initial timing to 6*(non-swirl heads) to try to compensate for it. You might need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump the pressure up a 1/4 psi at a time until it runs the best.

The sweet spot on my LE9 (TRUCK version of the L69) converted to TBI was right at 14 psi and 6* of timing.
