You can keep the TPI but you will have to get a diffirent Intake for Vortec heads.Just keep that in mind with the cost of the motor.
Yeah I saw that, I'm assuming you have to buy the gasket and bolt kit also... so its pretty much and extra $500 on top of the motor... not even counting the injectors, knock sensor, PROM and all that..... Man.....you think $3000-$3500 is worth it to put that motor in my car?

I don't know I guess I feel there real isn't anything that special about that HO motor. It's just a vortec headed 350. Around here you can pick up a assembled set of vortec heads for 300 bucks. I bought a good 350 block for 25 bucks. If you buy stuff used and shop around, you could build a good motor for cheap. But if you've got the cash, then go for whatever

No, I'm not a rodder (i.e. old fart). Here's what CarCraft says (yeah, I know): "We plugged the power numbers into the ProSim dragstrip simulator to estimate how well this engine would perform in a typical 3,500 street car with 3.54 gears, a TH-350 trans, a 2,600 stall converter, and sticky tires. The program spit out an estimate of 12.98 at 104 mph. That's perhaps a bit quicker than we would expect, but low 13s at 102 mph is certainly achievable."
