Car: 1989 Camaro RS
Engine: LT1 from '96 Corvette
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.42 diff
You'll need to swap bellhousings. Lakewood sells them for many engine-tranny combos, but the key is you need a bellhousing for a sbc. Also be careful of what tranny you put behind the V8, the T5 manual that came in V6 cars isn't built as stout as the V8 version. Not sure what tranny you have A or M, but make sure it'll handle the torque before you put it behind a V8..

If it is a manual transmission it can be done. You will need a 14 spline clutch and v8 bellhousing.
I wouldn't go this route if I were you.
