Guage issues....

I just dropped in a ZZ4 and broke it in today. I had to go with the smaller oil pressure sending unit (the one that looks like a mushroom as opposed to the larger bell type) but the plug at the top matched the one I had before. For the water temp, I put the sender into the intake next to the t-stat, but for some reason, both gauges are pegging out now, and not reading properly at all. Any one else have this problem, and know how to rectify it? Everything is hooked up right, no wiring issues... its the digital dash as well, not the standard. Thanks for any help,

Sounds like you got the wrong type of senders in there.

Well, they are different from the stock ones, but I can't use the stock senders due to clearance issues. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to adjust the output range of the sender, I know both are high now. A resistor would work, but the only question is how many ohms? What was the voltage range of the stock sending units?
