Ram Jet setup

Not exactly sure if this is the right place to post this question.

This summer, or possible the next (depending on financial situations) I am doing an engine swap, and right now doing research. I drive an '88 Camaro, and it came with a 2.8L v6, which is a really small engine. Anyway, i am going to put a new crate Ram Jet 350 into it (http://www.rebuiltcarengines.com/ce11.html just a reference, not where i am going to buy it from). I also plan on putting a Ram Air hood on my camaro (as seen here http://www.gtfiberglass.com/ again, probably not where i will buy it, just a reference).

Here is my question: does anybody here know where i can find a ram air intake to use the functional hood scoop for that type of hood? I have found this: http://marylandspeed.com/product_inf...roducts_id=597 but not sure if it will work. I guess what i am trying to find is a filter box for the ram air hood shown above, but i cannot find one. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't looked at the Ram Jet crate for awhile. They've gone up in price, but SDPC sells them for about $900 less than that.

I have found you don't have to have a different hood with the Ramjet. You can modify the stock flat hood by trimming the crossbrace above the throttle body. I put the RJ350 in a 89 Firebird and had to trim a piece the size of a baseball card and got enough clearance.

If you are going to change the hood the air box from Ramairhood.com should work and be functional.

Did you have to swap the oil pan on the Ram Jet to make it fit..?
I am interested in this swap for my 82 Trans Am...

I used the pan for my 89 since the RJ350 is a 1 piece rear main. It also comes with a windage tray mounted on main bearing bolts that will need to change also.
If you go to http://www.gilbertchevy.com/frame.ht...rformance.html
on the discussion board there in a thread specifically for thr Ramjet 350 and 502 it will give you a lot of great info they are pretty nowlegable.
