new lsx 511cu gm performance block

not sure if this is the right area to post but i wanted to share a find i found...

you guys read and hear about the new lsx block thats coming out in march...at max bore and max stroke it makes 511cubic inchs thats insane from a small block...and its going to be affordable too...for the block going to be around 2-3000 dollars and it has all the c5r and ls7 technology and features built into the block...you can bolt up any ls parts to it...

You can't call that a small block. It has nothing in common with the original SBC. It's simply referred to as an LS engine.

Not enough info given to compare it to the other LS blocks. Is the bore spacing the same? I'd have to assume so since it will accept heads designed for other LS engines. It accepts a max of 4.250 bore and 4.500 stroke but other than that, they don't tell you very much.

how can you not consider that a smallblock, all our factory stuff that fits on a 346 stock ls1 works on that, heck the dumb thing looks just like a iron 6 litre except for the large bore. my boss already is on a list to get it and is building a 510 right off the bat with 13 to 1 and keep his stock a/c

That's a good thing, these engines are superior to the original SBC.

Guess you didn't watch the video then, he goes into detail about bore spacing, what parts will go into it etc etc.
