I'm going to be swapping in a 350tpi with the lt1 cam. I am also putting in the t56 from a 94 camaro. Right now I have the 305tpi with t5. My only question is has someone already swapped a 350tpi into a car with a manual transmission. I know the 350 only has a chip made with the automatic. Is it really going to matter if I use the factory chip with a manual transmission or do I have to get one burnt to work with the manual transmission?

 

i wouldnt think it would matter enough to justify a chip.. the trannies in 3rd gens arent computer controled so changing the tranny wont have any effect in that sence.. but after just having put a 355 in my original 305 im getting a custom chip made next week at a local speed shop.. the biggest problem i have is with a bigger cam the idle speed needs to be higher then the 305 and turning the little screw is a badddd way to turn up the idle
