3.1 to 5.0 swap

I know that this has probably been discussed, but what is involved in a 3.1 cpi. to 5.0 swap besides, computer, and tranny? Thanks

Car: 94Chevy s10, camaro is soon to come
Engine: 4.3L TBI Vortec
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Axle/Gears: I believe it's a 3.55 possi
is there any reason you are swapping in a 5.0, to the best of my knoledge 350's are more powerful and cheaper to build, so unless you just have a 305 laying around I'd suggest that.

To answer you're question you're definently gonna need new motor mounts, you may actually be able to use the trans if it's a 700r4 or t5, but short of that anything the engine bolts too is gonna need to be swaped to small block stuff.

I'd recommend going to a 350 also... or if you stumble across a 400, unless someone's just giving you a free 305, you might as well upgrade. Bottom line is that it's a lot of work to do a swap so you might as well opt for a bigger engine. The more cubes you have, the better mannered the engine will be for the same power level and the aftermarket is the best for the 350.
