350 Crate Engine
350 Crate Engine
Hi guys, im looking to buy a 3rd generation camaro and Im just looking ahead alittle bit to see what kind of engine swaps I could do. (To decide if a 3rd gen is really what I want). I was looking at a couple differant 350's from a local GM Parts Store and wanted to see if you guys could tell me whether or not this engine would work:

Re: 350 Crate Engine
Well I guess I want to know then, is what is an easy to swap 350 motor that would still give off alot of power. From what I've been reading alot of people like to swap in LS1's but they gotta rework alot of stuff to make it work. If the ZZ4 was the same way I would probably stay away from it.

the zz4 is based on the tried and true chevy small block. it will bolt right into a v8 car. with a non emmissions carb, its a piece of cake. with fuel injection there is a little more work but not anywhere near a ls1, which is a totally different engine

any small block motor will pretty much bolt right in, so you that matter you could bolt in a 1000hp supercharged small block or a 290hp street-mannered motor. but keep in mind, the more exotic the engine, the more other parts you will break and need to replace, ie transmissions, driveshaft, rear, chassis, ect.
