454 in '84TA

If anyone is interested I was able to use the stock 305 LG4 motor mounts on my 454 Chevy in an 84 TA swap. I also used the stock starter with some 00 battery cables and it cranked over just fine. I used a Vette water pump and the whole thing squeezed in by about an inch using a flex fan. You guys probably already knew all of this though. That was a long time ago.

Re: 454 in '84TA

The headers fit, they had an odd 90 degree bend in them and ran outside the subframes on both sides which I had running to 3" flowmasters, the one on the passenger side tucked up where the cat had been. If I had to do it all over again I'd have used shortie style headers which could probably be routed similar to the original setup.
