put a firebird 305 in my camaro electronics gone to hell
i bought a '92 camaro rs that had its engine swaped for that of a '90 firebird formula 305 and now the engine runs like ****, but its in perfect condition, im told its the cpu, how do i fix it?

Hi,
if the camaro came with a 305 also I don't see what can cause the problem
1- make sure you don't have air leeks (specially on TPI engine).
2- make sure also you have the correct amount of fuel (check pressure on TPI should be 43psi or very close).
3- If the engine is stock, check the timing by disconnecting the ECM correction wire (a brown wire close to your AC can if equiped) and set it up to 6° of advance.
4- do not desperate
we'll find what's wrong.
Sorry I only know about TPI engine but this could be good for TBI also.
if the camaro came with a 305 also I don't see what can cause the problem
